Budget Sessions Open to Members

The Reston Association Board of Directors reviewed a first draft of the 2018/2019 biennial budget at a public meeting Aug. 14. Two other budget work sessions will be held Sept. 18 to consider the decision points presented in the draft budget and to provide guidance to RA staff as to what should or should not be included in the 2018/2019 operating and capital budgets. The September meetings will be from noon-5 p.m. and 7:30-10 p.m.

Anyone interested in learning about the Hook Road Recreation Area project and the forming of a working group may attend an information session on Aug. 29 at 6:30 p.m. at Reston Association headquarters, 12001 Sunrise Valley Drive. Email stadele@reston.org if you would like to serve on the working group.

Fourth of July

Reston Association offices, including the Nature House and Central Services Facility, will be closed in observance of the Fourth of July holiday on Tuesday. RA will host holiday festivities at the Lake Newport Pool facility from noon-4 p.m. Contact Ashleigh@reston.org or 703-435-6577. Registration is not required.
